FAQ

Welcome to the transformative journey you’re about to embark upon! This page will answer some common questions, but feel free to reach out if you have any other queries or concerns.

What happens during the first (intake) session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to gain a clearer understanding of the challenges you're facing. We’ll explore your reasons for seeking therapy, clarify what you hope to achieve, and gather information about any symptoms you’re experiencing, as well as relevant aspects of your life history.

Even in this initial meeting, we may begin some gentle therapeutic interventions to support your process. Afterwards, I encourage you to take some time to reflect on what we’ve discussed before deciding whether you’d like to continue with therapy.

What do I need to do before the first session?

After you’ve booked your appointment, I will email you a therapy agreement that includes all the practical details about our sessions, along with a digital intake form. I kindly ask that you complete and return both at least 24 hours before our first session.

How long does a session last?

Individual sessions typically last between 50-55 minutes. However, a custom duration is possible as well in case that fits your schedule better. Please be on time for each session, as I cannot extend the hours in the interest of subsequent clients.

How often do sessions take place?

Individual sessions usually take place biweekly; however, this can vary depending on availability and needs. Especially in the beginning, intervals between sessions should not exceed three weeks. Group session can be attended on a drop-in basis and are held weekly.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let me know as soon as possible by email, text. or phone. The cancellation fee for late cancellation of an appointment (less than 24 hours before the appointment) is 50% of the amount for the session. Less than 12 hours before the appointment will result in the full amount. This also applies if you were unable to cancel the appointment in time through no fault of your own.
