About Me
My career journey began in a very different place. After graduating from university in 2007, I was working in HR for a video game studio in Utah. While it was an interesting job, at 23, I felt a strong pull to see the world. That led me to pack my bags and move to South Korea to teach English. It was there that I fell in love with teaching, exploring new cultures, and working with children.
For the next 15 years, I had the privilege of teaching and living in amazing places like Taiwan, Australia, China, Sicily, and Spain, and traveling to over 60 countries. Each new country taught me something about the world and about myself. Through these experiences, I saw firsthand the power of human connection and the diverse ways we navigate life's challenges.
After years of teaching, I wanted to take my passion for helping people a step deeper. I'm now in my final year of a Master's program in Gestalt Psychotherapy, with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. I've also studied a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Creative Therapies, and Trauma-Informed Therapy.
I'm on track to receive my psychotherapy warrant, accredited by the European Association of Psychotherapy, upon graduation in November 2027. I have already completed over 300 hours of client work, and as I finish my final required hours, I am offering my services at a reduced rate.
